Folior Fest 5

FOLIOR FEST 5 is a design exhibition cum art market that showcases conceptual designs & artisan products for fun shopping by the design graduates from Dasein Academy of Art.

Visitors of FOLIOR FEST 5 could expect to feast on fun design displays & quirky products such as vintage stamps & postcards, peanut desserts and mochi, fun snack packs, embroidered craftwork, designer stationery, pomelo delicacies, mini DIY workshops for badges design and sewing craft, and many more.

This creative event not only welcomes talent scouts from the creative industry, but is also open to public visitors who appreciate creative designs & art market shopping.

已迈入第五届的 FOLIOR FEST ,结合设计展及艺术市场的概念,将展示达尔尚艺术学院平面设计系毕业生熠熠争辉的设计思维及艺术成品,为您创造崭新的消费体验。

FOLIOR FEST 5设计展兼创艺艺市场将为您展出各式有趣的设计作品,包含怀旧明信片和邮票,花生糊与麻糬,奇思妙想零食包,刺绣作品,创意文具,柚子美食,迷你手作工坊等等,让您好看好吃好好玩!

本活动开放给普罗大众,欢迎各界莅临共襄盛举。无论是美术设计爱好者、喜爱逛创意市集的人,还是文创设计界的星探,均无任欢迎。

由于前几届的FOLIO FEST 广获好评及热烈回响,FOLIOR FEST 5 随即于1月24日至28日卷土重来,在达尔尚艺术学院展览厅开市。

With the intent to impress yet again, Folior Fest 5 features a whole new batch of creative projects from the following creative groups:

BLAHZAAR by Chong Siew Wen
Blahzaar is derived from ‘blah’ and ‘bazaar’, an attempt to un-dull life in a lively bazaar setting. Check out the “Boredom Survival Kit”, whimsically designed snack packs and more to break out of boredom.

REMINISCE by Lee Shiau Ling / Chin Onn Khee / She Wei Kien
A vintage pop-up store with nostalgically designed postcards, stamps, bookmarks and the likes featuring childhood games and stationery which take the visitors down the memory lane.

HEA by Yau Boon Ean / Lim Yin Yee / Yap Kean Chee
‘Hea’ means chilling out in Cantonese, hence a brand about slow living. Check out the handcrafted brickwork for potting succulent plants and other subtle design items to mimic a mundane life.

WHAT’S GOING ON? by Chow Xin Rou / Chong Li Ling / Liew Yu Wah
Embraces life’s unpredictable moments as if cracking a peanut, this project comes with a capsule vending machine with designer goods, and top with delicacies such as peanut desserts and mochi.

TRIO & STITCH by Er Beng Kun / Chiam Su Teng / Tan Kai Wei
With detail sewing craftwork, this project will impress you with hand embroidered alphabet designs on selected garments. Check out the mini DIY workshop to make your own unique embroidery.

ORIGENE by Amos Koh Chong Shang
Exploring on the notion of ‘origin’ by applying basic forms and shapes to indicate a revisit to the starting point, the designer attempts to recover freshness from the limitation of basic design ingredients.

DAILY PRACTICE by Phang Chee Ken
A designer expresses his observations through hand lettering and illustration – a medium which he hopes to connect people and advocates how daily practice could make a difference in life.

VOID by Chong Ni Lin
By leaving blank spaces deliberately, this projects invites visitors to participate in completing the design process. Featuring a pop-up workspace with designer stationeries and minimalist charms.

CHILLAX by Leong Jia Xi / Ngah Zi Thong / Hillary Chee Jia Qian
Inspired by the hippie style of the 60’s, this project encourages visitors to chill out and relax from their busy lifestyle in a colourful way. Expect to savor thirst-quenching popsicles, ice-cream, fruit juice and etc.

THE BLIND LAB by Khoo Xu Xin / Chiew Tsung Sin / Yee Yong Wen / Liew Yih Jia
This project advocates the spirit of experimentation. Symbolized by a black cat, a lab imbued with mystical vibe is designed with a variety of drinks that allow the visitors to pick the mix and unfold their senses.

WHAT IF by Loke Yee Teng / Tee Huay Zhen / Yeo Huey Yi
Based on the notion of ‘what if’ and karma, experience a concept store akin to traditional Chinese grocer consists of pomelo candies with hidden message, pomelo tea, steamed buns and other classic delights.

BLAHZAAR / 钟岫彣
Blahzaar来自’blah’和’bazaar’,一个尝试在热闹和解闷的市场环境下为沉闷的生活添加色彩。Blahzaar 会推出“无聊生存工具包”,奇思妙想设计的零食包等等为了打破无聊并让人在闷中作乐。

回忆站 / 李晓琳 / 曾安琪 / 施伟健
回忆是一段过去的记忆,是每个人最珍贵的,意味着童年成长的美好过程。“回忆站”所传达的是让大家回忆起童年传达心意的方式是使用邮票来寄信的。此外,我们的设计使用了“vintage ”元素来呈现童年怀旧的摊位与产品,让大家一起体验回童年美好。

HEA / 姚文恩 /林穎憶 / 叶健智
“HEA”,在广东话里既是休闲放松的意思,并且把慢生活的概念融入进了我们的品牌。一个小小的砖块手工盆栽和其他精细的产品,可以带出一个清新而不缺平凡的生活。

花生什么事?/ 邹歆柔 / 张丽凌 / 刘郁桦
享受生活上那無法預知的驚喜時刻,它們猶如快樂的泉源,就像開花生一樣。這裡設有充满未知数的驚喜扭蛋機、美味的花生糊以及軟Q麻糬让大家拭目以待。

绣艺轩 / 余铭钧 / 詹素婷 / 陈凯薇
细节精致的缝制工艺,这个项目将在服装上用手绣字母设计给你留下深刻的印象。此外,这里还有迷你手作工坊,让大家学习并缝制出属于自己独特的刺绣作品。

ORIGENE / 許崇上
OriGene是Original和Gene的結合。設計師利用最基礎的設計元素-形狀,引領每個人反思自己做事的初心。藉著原點與初心的理念,找回自己那份做事情的初心。

日常练习 / 彭梓勤
運用文字和插畫的結合作為媒介去傳達設計師自身在日常中對生活的觀察和生活中日常事務如何去影響我們的人生。

無 / 张霓琳
空白,亦是想像。设计师在作品中留了一手,让大家在空白处注入自己的想法,享受手作的温度与成就。极简,亦是魅力。设计师将此概念融入文具,尽展自我风格及独特魅力。

CHILLAX / 梁佳熹 / 吳紫彤 / 朱佳倩
Chillax是由六十年代的嬉皮風格所啟發而來的。Chillax的主要目的是讓顧客通過娛樂,讓自己放下繁忙的生活去放鬆以及休息。Chillax将会推出让人垂涎的冰淇凌和果汁。除此之外,Chillax還會推出嬉皮主题的T恤、背心、錢包以及環保手提袋。

黑貓試驗室 / 邱旭馨 / 周松昇 / 余咏雯 / 廖宜嘉
黑猫试验室的出发点是怀着实验精神去探讨与尝试新鲜事物,可以自选把各种不同的饮料搭配一起感受前所未有的味蕾体验。即使无法掌握结果,但是注重的是享受调配过程以及对待生活需要保持尝试的好奇心。

柚如果 / 陆薏婷 / 郑慧真 / 杨惠怡
大家都很喜欢讲“如果这样,我就会怎样”,通常都是事后感悟才会去想如果。所以我们就从另一个角度去想一个“在如果之前”,一个“有如果”的世界。我们在发生不好的事之前给他们一些提示,让他们在后悔之前想到如果。
