When one wants to organize an outdoor car park film screening, a feedback said a particular religious institution may not permit as “maksiat” will take place inside the car. When one want to talk about intimacy of sexual freedom, it becomes a taboo as the society is not open in sex education and ends up sex “grooming” of teenager, recurrence of rapes cases of relatives and harassment of school teachers appear in the newspaper. Some queries even go to galleries which exhibit art with nudity.
“Make Love, Not War” is an anti-war slogan commonly associated with the American counterculture of the 1960s. It was used primarily by those who were opposed to the Vietnam War, but has been invoked in other anti-war contexts since. Kiss, is a universal language, it may appear in different intensity to different races and religious practice (is it?)…Be the genuine kisser is far better than be the killer that shut down all the openness of society.
#KISSNOTKILL on the other hand is a month long campaign that gear towards the exhibition KISS which will take place at Geographer KL. This a participative art together that we would like to show, the earnest intimacy towards each other is far better than the shun off the open talk of sexual education, sexual freedom, sexual grooming and sexual harassment incidents in the country. Who knows by the end of the year, things may go viral and we can create a panel entrance with your messages on…
近来有甚多性骚扰,性侵犯,性暴力的事件陆续曝光。还有较早前R:AGE揭发一连串未成年少女在社交apps上误识狼友。无奈, 校园又不允许谈性教; 画廊不允许裸画的展出。就算要办一场户外驾车进场看电影的活动概念,也会被同行提醒某宗教团体会认为会有”maksiat”在潜行着。
